Owen Woodgate - BA(Hons)
Managing Director

Owen launched Tax For Actors in 2011, off the back of a varied career within the arts. Initially training as an actor at Mountview Academy, Owen went on to work in the West End, Internationally and the odd bit of screen work thrown in for good measure.
Owen continues to work professionally on all sides of the proverbial table, not only as an actor, but as an agent, a casting director, and a producer, all as part of The Magnetic Group.

As Managing Director of Tax For Actors, it is a privilege to be an integral part of an actor’s support network, and it is this that drives Owen to continually innovate and improve the service provided by TFA.
Danielle Morris - MAAT
Accountant

Danielle has worked as an actress in musical theatre for almost 10 years, and has performed in West End, Regional & Fringe Theatres. Throughout her performing career she studied Bookkeeping and Accountancy with the goal to be able to help fellow performers, and prove once and for all that Tax doesn’t have to be Taxing. Danielle has an in depth knowledge of the Performing Arts, and has seen first hand the weird and wonderful expenses that come with a career in the Arts.

Danielle has recently qualified as a fully qualified Accounting Technician (MAAT) so her knowledge of accounts is now as broad as her knowledge for the Arts!
NICKY BENTON-SIMCOCK BSc(Hons), AATQB
Bookkeeper

Nicky joined Tax For Actors in November 2017 after a varied career including editing scientific journals, credit control, property marketing, accountancy and homeopathy. Nicky brings a wealth of administrative and bookkeeping experience as well as a sharp eye for detail and organisation.

A Pharmacology graduate of the University of Bath, Nicky is a licensed AAT bookkeeper and a fully qualified homeopath!
SALLY FRITH - AATQB
Bookkeeper

Sally has worked professionally within theatre for the last seven years, in productions such as CATS, Legally Blonde and Spamalot. Alongside performing, Sally is a licensed AAT bookkeeper, and is currently studying her AAT Advanced Diploma in Accountancy. Sally is the newest addition to the TFA team, with first hand and current experience of the challenges faced by performers, in an ever changing industry.

SCARLETT MALTMAN
Social Media Manager

Scarlett has been managing and designing for social media over the last three years working with a range of clients across the UK including charities, theatrical producers and art brands.
Scarlett is an actress working across stage and screen, most recently seen in Hulu’s The Great. She is a graduate of The Dance School of Scotland and The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.

Scarlett is the founder of the industry-leading mental health charity "Industry Minds”.
ABIGAIL JAYE - BA(Hons)
Marketing

Abigail trained at Mountview Academy, and has performed on stage and screen for the last 17 years. Her roles include Eva Peron in EVITA (International/ UK Tour), Mrs Lyons in Blood Brothers (West End) and The Narrator in Joseph (West End and Cast Recording).
Alongside a hugely successful acting career, Abigail worked as a freelance casting director, heading up the casting of BKCP’s first full scale musical “Grease”, directed by Gary Lloyd. She has also held the position of Performance Coach at Chichester University in West Sussex.

Abigail holds the Managing Director position within the Magnetic Group, specialising in theatrical and corporate production.
